Mini Or Midi

Bloglovin': Lee Oliveira & Tuula Vintage. Two Bloggers who are passionate about taking gorgeous pictures and showcasing even more gorgeous Fashion.

Jessica Stein has an amazing sense of style and she loves Asos - even better. These two dresses, one Mini in scarf print & one vertical striped Midi - which are still for sale in a multitude of sizes - are right up my Fashion Street.
I don't think I have ever wanted to make an online purchase/s so badly, which is a good complaint! If I had to choose, I would go for  the scarf print mini, and you?

(Not So) Mellow Yellow

Nothing says Spring more than bright yellow Daffodils. Yellow - apparently one of this Season's major  colours. Yellow for this Season only? Yellow forever!

Who Wears Yellow:

Buy Yellow:
So, if you are into (not so) mellow Yellow - get clicking.
If I could make one recommendation; buy mint Carmex - your lips will feel tingly, tasty and fresh!

Classic yellow VANS.

If money was no object, I would go for the Simone Rocha dress and that Joanne Hynes collar. As it is, I'll probably just use my mint Carmex as a yellow accessory - for the time being, of course - until I win the lotto...

Tell me, what do you think about the colour yellow?

Come To Me Cossack Hat

On my wish list this December: a Cossack. You know those furry hats? Yes, one of those. With a Cossack on my head, I can see myself walking on the snow in amongst a Winter Wonderland. A Winter Wonderland where Anna Sui allows me to pick any outfit from her Winter 2011 collection. A Winter Wonderland where my favourite Christmas songs are on repeat. A Winter Wonderland where hot chocolate is best served with a dollop or two of whipped cream. It would be rude not to, really.

And then I hear my alarm at 7.00am. Anna Sui outfit in wardrobe? No. Christmas songs on repeat? No. Cossack on head? No. Instead. Groggy eyed Witch who doesn't want to go to work. Not very festive.

'All I want for Christmas is you (A Cossack) and you (Snow)'. And what about you?

Ninety-Ninety-What?

When I think of the nineties, I think of cycling shorts, leggings, big scrunchies. Ah, the good old nineties. I was born in the eighties, but grew up in the nineties. I possessed a hairband with my name on it. I also possessed bucked teeth. Not a very fashionable era.

However, this not-very-fashionable era is alive and kicking. Baby G watches are back! Who knew? Certainly not me. I know, how ignorant. Satchels are back. I used to have a satchel; a big red one that I used to carry school books in. It was loved and abused, equally.

Tartan. Question: Did anyone ever have to wear a tartan skirt in school? If you say yes, well poor you. I never did. So, when I look at tartan, I just see tartan and not memories of stuffy classrooms and teachers who would eye the length of said skirt, 'is that skirt rolled up?' Pull it back down. Tartan is tacky enough. Amen to that.

Jeepers-Creepers. I Want To Cover My Peepers.

I'm in the market for a new pair of sunglasses. What brand of sunglasses do I spy on immediately? Rayban. Good, old, classic Rayban. Nothing wrong with them. I can't get enough of their aviators. But, in the back of my mind, I am thinking: 'there is really more to sunglasses than aviators.' Indeed. There is.

So, let me introduce three reasons to pick sunglasses that are not Rayban aviators. Who is with me?

1. Ever wanted cat eyes? They are all the rage. Don't bother with plastic surgery. Instead, cover your peepers with those ASOS red frames. That should do the trick.
2. Think Miuccia Prada is cool? Buy those curly-wurly-absolutely-amazing sunglasses. Then you can be just as cool as Miuccia. Remember, I said just.
3. The classic debate of Rayban vs. American Apparel. Go for AA. They need the business after all. They are also quite similar to the pair Abbey Lee is wearing. Enough said.

The sunglasses I am especially lusting after? Those Prada's.

White

Apart from underwear, a (yes, singular) t-shirt and converse, my wardrobe lacks the colour white. The reason? I prefer a bit of colour. Pink, orange, grey.... I am also a bit of a clumsy eater. Food substances on white is not a good look. Food substances on colour is the new colour blocking. Pizza sauce and hot pink? Fabulous, darling!

However, I am attracted to these white accessories, especially that Michael Kors watch. I really need to get my wrist decked out in some MK soon.

Lots Of Stuff

On the 'hello' why aren't you in my wardrobe, as opposed to being in some random warehouse list. Topshop wide legged printed trousers. Where are you? YSL 70's inspired block sandals. Be mine! YSL multi-coloured crystal ring. You should be blinging on my finger. Bright, patterned River Island scarf. Hello, you.

OPI 'Not like the Movies'. My life is definitely not like a movie, 'cause that polish would be delivered by a handsome gent in a suit. Spiffy! Jeepers Peepers sunglasses. You should be covering my peepers. A girls wardrobe is not complete without an item or two from Topshop. May I ask why that dusky pink leather jacket is gathering dust in some random warehouse and not my wardrobe? Blind Man's Bluff, Lots of Stuff, I need that ASOS Cuff.

De-Clutter

My black, shiny bag is annoying me at the moment. As well as being heavy (my fault for putting unnecessary items in there), it keeps slipping off my shoulder. Yes, bag, I know I'm not the most glamorous shoulder ever. But, really? Stop trying to escape! Therefore, in an attempt to de-clutter one aspect of my life and to welcome the coming of Spring, I feel it is time to start looking for a new, more well behaved, colourful smaller bag. A clutch or a mini satchel, to be precise.

Note to self: If purchasing one of these bags, the items that used to take pride of place in big, black shiny bag will have to make way for more delicate pieces. No more litre bottles of water (that can be used a self-defence mechanism). Suffer for fashion. Suffer!

Do you like my mini bag selection?

Mam, will you tell them to stop copying me?

I don't know about you, but when I was younger if my sisters copied me in any sort of way, I would go crazy. To elaborate...if they dressed like me, or had clothes similar to mine, or if they started mimicking my voice....genuinely, I used to get so mad. Were you like that?

I think I am sort of over it (but, not really!). Anyways enough of my random-ness.

When I looked through the Preen Resort 2011 collection the other day, I didn't think anything of it, other than it is a minimal and well structured collection. However, browsing through the ASOS website this morning, I noticed something. Because the Preen collection is fairly minimal (actually very), there are bound to be some decent copies. I found...well I think I found (I'll let you be the judge of that) some pieces which match the Preen collection in some way.

So, Preen on a budget?! Sure, why not! (Well in my current non-working position, some of the ASOS stuff is looking pricey!).

Preen vs French Connection sold on ASOS.com at £75.

Preen vs ASOS at £55.

Preen vs Reiss shorts sold on ASOS.com at £89.

Preen vs Firetrap sold by ASOS.com at £75.

Preen vs Selected Femme Trousers at £135. Sold on ASOS.com

Preen vs Selected Femme lace cami at £80. Sold on ASOS.com

Now, I'm not saying they are carbon copies, but they are similar. What do you think?

Oh ya, just want to say I have been blogging for around a month now, and I want to thank everyone for all their comments and for following. I really, really appreciate it! Okay, enough of the cheese factor.
