(Not So) Mellow Yellow

Nothing says Spring more than bright yellow Daffodils. Yellow - apparently one of this Season's major  colours. Yellow for this Season only? Yellow forever!

Who Wears Yellow:

Buy Yellow:
So, if you are into (not so) mellow Yellow - get clicking.
If I could make one recommendation; buy mint Carmex - your lips will feel tingly, tasty and fresh!

TOP LEFT - RIGHT: PRIMARK yellow neon spike necklace (in stores) - ZARA multicoloured printed scarfIf you like studs, go for this yellow leather gilet from RIVER ISLAND Big Yellow Taxi nail polish by CIATÉ
Classic yellow VANS.

If money was no object, I would go for the Simone Rocha dress and that Joanne Hynes collar. As it is, I'll probably just use my mint Carmex as a yellow accessory - for the time being, of course - until I win the lotto...

Tell me, what do you think about the colour yellow?

Tart-Tartan

I love tartan and you?

Tartan featured in my favourite Irish magazine, Stellar.

My birthday is coming up soon. To me, from me. Always the best way to do things!

I love these Topshop slipper shoes, how can you go wrong with tartan & studs? Oh, and this slipper shoe range from Topshop is very comfortable. I have two pairs already, see picture above this one. A third, tartan pair next?

TV presenter, journalist and super stylist & stylish, Angela Scanlon wearing tartan.

Pick 'n' Tartan Mix. I want that Burberry blush!

I just love this collection, it's probably one of my favourites from S/S 2013. Grungy, yet still feminine. I love the different use of textures in the third outfit.

Mugshot. Wearing a Penneys/Primark plaid shirt from the men's section. I like an oversized shirt.

Hairband from Accessorize.

No Doubt love tartan.

Studs On Shoes/Textured Skirt

Studs on shoes
and a textured skirt.

Wear with black deniers.
For fake tanners, slap on the Garnier.
Not bothered to bronze? Go Au naturel.

On top, keep things simple.
A leather jacket,
or a Camo would be just perfect, too.

Accessorise with a smile,
and the studded shoes & textured skirt
will always be on your side.

Sh*t! Six months, no blog posts. What can I say? A blogging blip.
(Anyone out there?)

Bug Bling

I see a Beetle & a Butterfly,
An Ant and just an ordinary Fly.
A Wasp features and maybe, just maybe
a Cockroach, too.
Bug Bling, to you and I.

After that I don't know.
Am I an Entomologist?
Eh, hello! That would be a no.

So there we go with another crappy poem.
Can I please present to you:
My Bug Bling.
Watch out now. Careful they don't sting!

Come To Me Cossack Hat

On my wish list this December: a Cossack. You know those furry hats? Yes, one of those. With a Cossack on my head, I can see myself walking on the snow in amongst a Winter Wonderland. A Winter Wonderland where Anna Sui allows me to pick any outfit from her Winter 2011 collection. A Winter Wonderland where my favourite Christmas songs are on repeat. A Winter Wonderland where hot chocolate is best served with a dollop or two of whipped cream. It would be rude not to, really.

And then I hear my alarm at 7.00am. Anna Sui outfit in wardrobe? No. Christmas songs on repeat? No. Cossack on head? No. Instead. Groggy eyed Witch who doesn't want to go to work. Not very festive.

'All I want for Christmas is you (A Cossack) and you (Snow)'. And what about you?

Animalzzzzz

Animals? Love. Clothes? Love? Accessories? Love. Animals and clothes? Eh...! Animal accessories? Hmmm...! You may think animals are one dimensional. I mean, all they do is eat, sleep, drink and exercise under duress. Quite like humans, in fact. But animals are more and more in the spotlight. They feature on jumpers, they make up earrings. Animals can pose too, you know.

However, let me show two examples when animals can go wrong. Animals and Mr's, to be precise:
1. Mr. Big gave Carrie this Judith Leiber swan purse in SATC. She felt compelled to say 'I love you'. Not the 'I love you' because I love this gift. More 'I love you' because you tried and that's all that counts. Right?
2. Mr. Darcy in Bridget Jone's Diary and his reindeer jumper. Apparently, his mother picked this gem for him to wear. Enough said.

(Example A. Example B.)

I feel this '''trend''' is something, you will either love or hate. I am in the middle. Sitting on the fence. Wearing my koala bear jumper and feeding apples to horses. What do you think?

Dress Like Hugh Hefner. What?

(Does Anyone like the Christian Louboutin page on Facebook? Quite possibly the most amusing Facebook page on a brand. Smart, effective and easy marketing. I just had to use one of their 'catchphrases' for this post.)

Name That Shoe: Look, at her feet! It's a pump! It's a wedge! No, it's... a slipper. A slipper shoe. An animal slipper shoe. So, you know what to do: get your slipper shoe on. I'd give the nightgown a miss, though. One doesn't want to be a total slob in Public, does one?

Slipper shoes, from top-bottom: Sam Edelman (via shopbop) and Topshop.

P.S. If you want to like the Christian Louboutin page, click here.

P.P.S. Just in case anyone thinks I have been paid to endorse the Christian Louboutin Facebook page, well I haven't. But if I was asked, I certainly wouldn't say no. But I am a blogging pleb. End of.

Take Me Out

Ah, Friday night. Date night!  If I was going on a date tonight, I would wear this dress. Red, leopard print and curve cl-clinging. However, I am not. The dress and the date will just have to wait.

Just Dance

What do I want to wear and do now? Throw on a pair of Palazzo trousers and go dancing! The ditsier the print, the better, I say. 'Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin alive, stayin alive.' Palazzo trousers and The Bee Gees? Sure, why not!

Note to self: Need to buy a pair of Palazzo's in case of a need to dance emergency.

L-R: Palazzo Trousers from River Island and Topshop

Hope every one is having a great weekend. Make it a fashionable one. Well, a semi fashionable one!

P.S. The trousers I am wearing in the picture above are from Topshop. Made my thighs look horrid. Great for dancing, though!

White

Apart from underwear, a (yes, singular) t-shirt and converse, my wardrobe lacks the colour white. The reason? I prefer a bit of colour. Pink, orange, grey.... I am also a bit of a clumsy eater. Food substances on white is not a good look. Food substances on colour is the new colour blocking. Pizza sauce and hot pink? Fabulous, darling!

However, I am attracted to these white accessories, especially that Michael Kors watch. I really need to get my wrist decked out in some MK soon.

Are you in to white or do you prefer brighter, bolder colours?

Take Three

Hello from a slightly distressed big-headed fashionista,

I can't even begin to tell you how hard it was to pick something to wear today. My wardrobe is literally bursting with fabulous creations. From beautiful Rodarte, to the ever floral Erdem, to my new favourite up and coming designer Mary Katrantzou.

In the end, I just couldn't decide. I mean what's a girl with a big head like mine supposed to do? Wear them all. That's what. Three designer's, three luxurious dresses made out of the finest materials possible, three bloated heads, one deluded blogger. So, there I was floating around........

.........when I suddenly remembered what I really wore today: Black Topshop jeans, a denim chambray shirt, my ever present flats, straight hair. Just normal. Definitely not photo worthy. Rodarte, Erdem and Mary Katrantzou? Definitely photo worthy. How I love these designers for their beautiful work.

What did you wear today? You can be truthful or not. Up to yourself. Oh, and out of the three dresses, which one would you wear, l-r: Rodarte, Erdem or Mary Katrantzou?

Talkative Clothes

OMG! Clothes and accessories that speak. Is it a yay or a nay for you? Trashy or classy? Fashionable or not?

I would definitely wear the Moschino Cheap and Chic Smile jumper. I would also happily buy the Disney 'Believe' necklace. A bit of belief goes a long way, right? The Topshop OMG t-shirt? Hmmmm... Not really my style. I know. How Oh My God of me. The Moschino Cheap and Chic t-shirt? Yes. I wouldn't refuse anything from Moschino, thank you very much. Don't judge me.
