(Not So) Mellow Yellow

Nothing says Spring more than bright yellow Daffodils. Yellow - apparently one of this Season's major  colours. Yellow for this Season only? Yellow forever!

Who Wears Yellow:

Buy Yellow:
So, if you are into (not so) mellow Yellow - get clicking.
If I could make one recommendation; buy mint Carmex - your lips will feel tingly, tasty and fresh!

TOP LEFT - RIGHT: PRIMARK yellow neon spike necklace (in stores) - ZARA multicoloured printed scarfIf you like studs, go for this yellow leather gilet from RIVER ISLAND Big Yellow Taxi nail polish by CIATÉ
Classic yellow VANS.

If money was no object, I would go for the Simone Rocha dress and that Joanne Hynes collar. As it is, I'll probably just use my mint Carmex as a yellow accessory - for the time being, of course - until I win the lotto...

Tell me, what do you think about the colour yellow?

Tart-Tartan

I love tartan and you?

Tartan featured in my favourite Irish magazine, Stellar.

My birthday is coming up soon. To me, from me. Always the best way to do things!

I love these Topshop slipper shoes, how can you go wrong with tartan & studs? Oh, and this slipper shoe range from Topshop is very comfortable. I have two pairs already, see picture above this one. A third, tartan pair next?

TV presenter, journalist and super stylist & stylish, Angela Scanlon wearing tartan.

Pick 'n' Tartan Mix. I want that Burberry blush!

I just love this collection, it's probably one of my favourites from S/S 2013. Grungy, yet still feminine. I love the different use of textures in the third outfit.

Mugshot. Wearing a Penneys/Primark plaid shirt from the men's section. I like an oversized shirt.

Hairband from Accessorize.

No Doubt love tartan.

Trousers Of The Month

Hi There!

It may be freezing out and dare I say it, snowing in some parts of the World, but Floral trousers (and the rest) are always welcome. What do you think?

Cos, I Love You

I went on a massive shopping spree on Friday. A shopping trip that did not include a visit to Primark. Yes, Primark is cheap, it is cheerful, but you wouldn't believe how sick I am with the quality (or lack) of their clothing. I introduced myself with Cos on this shopping trip. I do believe it was love at first sight. Quality clothes. A good price and materials and colours I adore. Cos, I love you.

I have been looking for the perfect LBD for summer and I found it. This dress is beautiful on.

A very welcome addition to my wardrobe.

Happy Easter everyone! I have collected a Lindt bunny family. I fear they won't last long though.

Chocolate-ly goodness!

Does anyone else love Cos?

P.S. In the post below, the skirt is from American Apparel (I bought it) and the fringed top is from Topshop (that stayed in the shop).

Stripes, Missoni Style

Stripes, geometrics and abstract florals. These three (very often) colourful patterns are what the Missoni design house is all about. These patterns are instantly recognisable as a Missoni design. I am not fortunate enough to have anything lust worthy from Missoni, so I have to opt for high street copies. I know, not great, but if a gal wants fussy stripes in her wardrobe, well, then a gal (on a minimum wage pay cheque) will buy anything to fill the void in her wardrobe. Obviously when I say gal, I mean me!

Last year, H&M were doing some fantastic Missoni inspired pieces, so when I saw that jacket below, I grabbed it and ran to the tills. With the trousers, I was more hesitant. I hummed and hawed in the shop (Primark, of course!) for quite some time. In the end, I had to make the purchase. They are different, I love the pattern and I can't wait to wear them. Preferably, I would wear them with five inch heels and a cool leather jacket.

The material and pattern in my two high street copies wouldn't be a patch (obviously) on the material that Missoni use, but hey, you pay for what you get. What do you think of my Missoni-esque buys? In general, do you like the crazy stripes and geometrics that Missoni use?

Nice Words In Pink

Smell: Cinnamon scented tea-lights. I couldn't resist spelling my initial out with them. Inspiration: Stellar Magazine (An Irish fashion magazine. A very good read!), Vogue UK & Elle UK. Colour, colour and more colour. The magazines speak for themselves. Beauty Product: High Beam by Benefit. How did my dull face cope before without this miracle product. I lash this stuff on daily. I am very loyal! High Beam, will you be my Valentine? Dress: The Summer clothes are hitting the shops, and I am taking advantage. This Primark dress is another example of their 'cheap, but cheerful' clothing motto. Now, all I need is the sun, so I can actually wear it.

Motivation: 'Yes We Can'. Can we? I recently joined the gym after saying never again the last time. I need some motivation. Barack Obama: Sarah, you and your banjaxed legs can run for more than half an hour on the treadmill. Sarah: (In my mind) Yes we can, yes we can, yes we can, yes....we....can....! Nail polish: Rimmel. All of their dark shades. I do so love! Makes my nails look fierce, even if I don't feel it. Light Entertainment: Sex And The City & Des Bishop (comedian). SATC for the designer clothes eye-candy. Des Bishop for the many laugh out loud moments.

These are a few of the fashionable things, which I am loving this week. What are you loving?

Something beginning with the Letter S

A Snood=a scarf and a hood. Oh, my! It keeps you warm and protects you against rainy, blustery weather. Can be worn with anything, as seen in the pictures. Are you a little chilly? Pick up a snood and that chilliness will soon turn into warmness. Don't be fooled by the silliness of their name. Buy a snood today in any good retailers. Prices vary, but they all do exactly the same thing. What are you waiting for?

Small Print: Terms and Conditions do not apply. If the Snood does not make you warm, well then, just wear more. Responsibility will not be held!

I am surprised that I bought something that has such a ridiculous name. But, I couldn't resist. This fluffy snood has been my companion all weekend. Actually, so too have my over sized denim jacket and my Alexander Wang-esque (but really River Island) comfy, oh-so comfy trousers. I can't bear to take them off!

Will you be buying a snood anytime soon? Hope ye are all having a fantastic weekend?!

P.S. In the last post I said that horses were my favourite animal in fashion pictures. Well, it just so happens, my sister has two horses, but she went away with them today, so no horsing around in these pictures. You will just have to do with the barking mad Ozzy instead.
