Top Five Pointed Shoes From Spring Summer 2013

Spring Summer 2013 brought many shoe options;
some were wedged, some had flatforms,
but the shoes I'm interested in are of the elegant, pointed variety.
Here are my top five:

Plaid mules by Dries Van Noten.
Rectangular small heeled court shoes with bows and extreme pointy toes by Louis Vuitton.
My favourite; strappy lucite heels with studs in a nude colour by Valentino.
Two toned, patent high heeled slingbacks from Miu Miu.
Colourful Sicily inspired printed kitten heels by Dolce & Gabbana.

Do you like this kind of shoe and what do you think of my choices?

DECISIONS, DECISIONS!!

In September, the singer Fergie will enter into a vortex known only as Celebrity Perfume. That's right. Another celebrity perfume. Called OUTSPOKEN. I always think these celebrity perfumes have sensationalist names like 'Intimately Beckham' or 'SEXY DARLING' (Kylie Minogue. Had to do CAP's for that one). I don't know about you, but I am (very) sceptical about celebrities having their own perfume. Everyone has a perfume, from Britney Spears to Paris Hilton (why?)to Sarah Jessica Parker to Halle Berry to Kate Moss....and so on and on and on.

I wasn't always so sceptical though. When I was 15 or so, I remember getting a bottle of Glow by JLo (cause she was JLo back then...Sean Combs was Puff Daddy or was he P Diddy...?) for Christmas. I was highly excited. I loved how 'bling' the bottle was, I loved the scent (even though I haven't smelled it in a long time, I do remember it being a nice perfume). Just to let you know, when I was 15 everything was 'blingtastic' in the Celebrity World. I wanted to be associated with as much 'bling' as possible. How naïve was I?

Celebrity Perfumes...what do you think? Yes? No? Maybe? Indifferent?

These days being a slightly (very slight) more mature 22 year old, my perfume tastes have changed dramatically. Sorry to be a cliché, but my favourite perfume is Coco Mademoiselle by CHANEL. There are no words to describe how much I love the scent of this perfume.

Coming second is Miss Dior Chérie by Dior.

FlowerBomb by Viktor & Rolf is my third favourite. I love the intensity of this perfume.

DKNY's Be Delicious and Light Blue by D&G take 4th and 5th place. These are fruity, fresh and easy-to-wear.

What are your favourite perfumes?

This has absolutely nothing to do with perfume and she hasn't brought out her own perfume yet (I really can't seeing her do it either though), but Taylor Swift....straight or curly hair...what do you think?

I love the sleekness and how shiny her straight hair is, but then I also love her curls. They are so defined. The decisions I have to make these days are so tough!haha
Love this Galliano dress she wore to the Country Music Awards last night.

Let me know what you think...straight or curly hair...celebrity fragrances or not...

From one extreme to another...

I was going to get up super early this morning to have a look at the red-carpet from the MTV Movie Awards, but the heavy rain lulled me back to sleep. Its okay though, because it is a bank holiday Monday. Wooo...so no work, school, college etc. Not that I have any of those. But I have to take part in the festivities of a Bank Holiday and do absolutely nothing. And I actually appreciate the rain today because it entices me to do nothing. But I expect it to be sunny tomorrow (of course). And knowing the Irish weather it probably will be.

Anyways, enough of my rambling, seems as it is past lunchtime (way past lunchtime, nearly dinner!) when I first saw the pictures of the MTV movie awards red carpet, I kind of guessed that everyone has seen them. But, I can't help showing my favourites of the night.

As you all probably know, Jessica Biel doesn't always get it right on the Red Carpet, but she wowed in Giambattista Valli. Whenever I see Jessica Biel, I always think back to 7th Heaven...remember that preachy type show she was in, with all those children? I still remember the way they talked drove me mad, but I was kinda obsessed with it. Do you remember it?

Scarlett Johansson in green Dolce & Gabbana. Jealous much? Its okay though my 'green' eyed monster tendency when it comes to dresses is all part of my Zodiac sign-Scorpio. It is a simple dress, that fits her really well. Is it just me, or is Scarlett just a little scrawny looking at the moment? So too is Eva Mendes, who looked really skinny on the Red Carpet last night.

I have to admit, I have never actually seen Anna Kendrick in a film. I know she is in that film with George Clooney..something about planes. Sorry I'm useless and this just shows my ignorance. Does anyone know what the film is called? Anyways, she looked beautiful in this Zac Posen dress.

God help me for saying this, but Katy Perry makes me so mad sometimes. Whilst everyone I know loves the first song she released, I can't bare it. If I hear the song on the radio, I flick it, faster than you could say Katy Perry. That time she wore that 'glowing' Cute Circuit dress to the Met Ball, I was stunned (bad stunned). She just does things which irritate me...and I don't even know the girl personally.

But, do you know what? I actually like this Zuhair Murad dress on her. Don't mind the hair (cause that is sort of hideous). The MTV Movie Awards are supposed to be fun, this is fun. I am a sequin girl, this is a sequin dress, need I say anymore. What do you think of it? Try and imagine her without the blue hair, because that just puts you off straight away.

Seeing lace on Scarlett Johansson only reinforces my love of lace. It is such a delicate fabric. I had a sneaky peak on Net-A-Porter, whereby I saw this Preen beauty.

I would wear this to the MTV Movie Awards, if I was an actor/ celebrity/ socialite... but I'm not any of those. But a girl can dream to wear a dress like this.

Lace in my wardrobe is few and far between, but I have a few little bits. There is no comparison between lace on a designer item to lace on a high street item...but I am not in a situation to be buying designer lace, so I settle for high street lace.

The khaki green, part lace top was an Oasis buy and the nude, peachy lace top is from River Island. Note the horrible, grey rainy sky behind the two tops.

I bought this in Mango around a year and a half ago. My waist is NOT this small, I folded it over. This is the extent of my photographic abilities!

So, that is it. No word of a lie this post took me two and a half hours to do. I am on such a go-slow today! What do you think of my favourite looks at the Movie Awards? And is lace a sure thing for you?
