Yo Dre, drop the verse

I knew the minute I walked into the office with 'No Diggity' blaring in the background, that the interview was not going to go well. Don't get me wrong, I love 'No Diggity'...great song to dance to, but at 8am in the morning, didn't really appreciate it. In between the lyrics of 'Mr. Jones' by the Counting Crowes and my interviewer telling me how great non-paid training and work really is, I knew I should have done a runner. Instead I was sitting there trying very hard 'to be someone who believes', but at that point in time I didn't 'believe in anything'.

Is it true that 'we all want to be big stars'? Sure, I'd love to be a star, I might as well 'buy myself a gray guitar and play'. I will also be as creative as possible and 'I will paint my picture'.

Louis Vuitton painted a picture and I'm sure they 'felt so symbolic yesterday' with the launch of their Resort 2011 collection. They produced simple, elegant, feminine easy-to-wear clothes on the laid back catwalk in the Maritime Hotel.

As with many Resort collections we have seen over the past few weeks, it is not extremely edgy, but the clothes are girly, and 'standing in the spotlight' in one of Louis Vuitton's Resort 2011 Collection would be my ultimate dream. Whilst 'Mr Jones wishes he was someone just a little more funky', Louis Vuitton is basking in their back-to-feminine collection. 'We all want something beautiful'...never a truer statement in my case.

What do you think of the Louis Vuitton Resort 2011 Collection? Too simplistic or just right?

Have a fantastic weekend.

I like LV's resort; very pretty and girly but just enough "off" to be interesting, if you know what I mean? Great outfit choices here :)

Im a little disappointed with this collection, looks that I've seen before, I expect more from LV!....and what a buzz at your interview...anyone trying to convince me that non paid training is right, would lose my total intrest at that moment too!

I was just reading about this show on WWD this morning! :) I love it - I think it's about time that the designers are returning to a more feminine/retro approach. Very Hepburn. I adore it!

Hmm. I'm kinda undecided. I want to say I really love them, but it seems like there's just a little something missing. Maybe just a little more color? I don't know.

That being said, I'm absolutely in love with outfits 4 and 5.

Non-paid work is great? Hmm. I see the pluses and minuses. I think even paying minimum wage would be better than no pay at all. Obviously. But you know. Anyway.

Very pretty looks - nothing too special, but as you said like all the resort collections we've seen, they're very girly and pretty.
I'm not loving the seethrough rain coat though!

I just squealed over the last dress, missy maam ( a southern girl term of endearment, that I call all my fashion divas). Now this is the first peek at it for me. Waterford, Ireland right? I am loving the fashion first approach here. It's like telling secrets no one else knows.

Yep, Ireland. Thanks for your lovely comment!:)SD
