As I was walking through John F. Kennedy Park today, I couldn't help wondering about a certain Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
I don't know about you, but I am a little bit obsessed with the Kennedy family. Who isn't though? A good looking, charismatic Political dynasty, marred by tragedies. But, always keeping a smile on her face was Jackie Kennedy. In my eyes, she was always stylish, chic, confident and poised within an inch of her life. She is definitely one of my fashion icons. Her look was all about big sunglasses, pearls, pill box hats, thick glossy hair and favouring designers such as Chanel, Givenchy, Christian Dior and so on. So beautiful!
Are you looking forward to seeing Katie Holmes as Jackie Kennedy Onassis in the mini-series of 'The Kennedy's?
Who is your fashion Icon?

I mentioned John F. Kennedy Park before and this is a park named after John F. Kennedy (obviously!), because the Kennedy's were originally from a small town called New Ross in Co. Wexford, which is located in the South-East of Ireland. New Ross is very proud that one of the greatest Political Dynasties is from their small town!
Its about 30 minutes from where I live and it is such a beautiful place to go and have a picnic or just wander around, looking at all the stunning trees. (Never thought I would call a tree stunning, must be my age catching up with me). When I was younger, my parents used to drag (literally drag!) my sisters, brother and I there, and I didn't really appreciate it...but now I do. Enough of the History lesson!
Thought I would make an appearance...excuse the hair...my overall appearance. The weather was fairly brutal and not in our favour at ALL!
Even though there is a very slight chance that you have but,... ever visited New Ross or JFK park? Its okay if you haven't though!haha

Currently my style icon has to be Catherine Baba. She always looks astounding, I swear if there was anyone who I could switch clothes with...it would be her. That said, my style is always in flux and I like to magpie my style from everything. Old magazines, movies, music...street style. That said...you can't go wrong with a Kennedy.

A bit surprised to hear Katie Holmes is portraying Jackie O. She was such a style icon like Audrey Hepburn.
alexa chung all the way! except i think i should have a classic fashion icon as well so in that case, it always has to be audrey hepburn :)
love the scarf draped around your neck, so boho chic, btw i read somewhere that jackie kennedy spent around US$ 2 million annually on her wardrobe, and that was in the 60's, mind blowing, literally, xoxo
Exquisite post, darling!

The park's so cool, we don't have lakes here in Singapore. ): Just puddles, and ponds if we're lucky.

I love the photos of Jackie and the park. The Kennedys are definitely a fascinating family. JFK would certainly be one of my style icons as man.
very pretty park, indeed. and even though katie looks like jackie o, i am not looking forward to seeing her play the former first lady.
if you like jackie, you should see "Smash His Camera". It's a doc about Ron Galella and mainly centers around all the photos he took of Jackie O.
