DECISIONS, DECISIONS!!

In September, the singer Fergie will enter into a vortex known only as Celebrity Perfume. That's right. Another celebrity perfume. Called OUTSPOKEN. I always think these celebrity perfumes have sensationalist names like 'Intimately Beckham' or 'SEXY DARLING' (Kylie Minogue. Had to do CAP's for that one). I don't know about you, but I am (very) sceptical about celebrities having their own perfume. Everyone has a perfume, from Britney Spears to Paris Hilton (why?)to Sarah Jessica Parker to Halle Berry to Kate Moss....and so on and on and on.

I wasn't always so sceptical though. When I was 15 or so, I remember getting a bottle of Glow by JLo (cause she was JLo back then...Sean Combs was Puff Daddy or was he P Diddy...?) for Christmas. I was highly excited. I loved how 'bling' the bottle was, I loved the scent (even though I haven't smelled it in a long time, I do remember it being a nice perfume). Just to let you know, when I was 15 everything was 'blingtastic' in the Celebrity World. I wanted to be associated with as much 'bling' as possible. How naïve was I?

Celebrity Perfumes...what do you think? Yes? No? Maybe? Indifferent?

These days being a slightly (very slight) more mature 22 year old, my perfume tastes have changed dramatically. Sorry to be a cliché, but my favourite perfume is Coco Mademoiselle by CHANEL. There are no words to describe how much I love the scent of this perfume.

Coming second is Miss Dior Chérie by Dior.

FlowerBomb by Viktor & Rolf is my third favourite. I love the intensity of this perfume.

DKNY's Be Delicious and Light Blue by D&G take 4th and 5th place. These are fruity, fresh and easy-to-wear.

What are your favourite perfumes?

This has absolutely nothing to do with perfume and she hasn't brought out her own perfume yet (I really can't seeing her do it either though), but Taylor Swift....straight or curly hair...what do you think?

I love the sleekness and how shiny her straight hair is, but then I also love her curls. They are so defined. The decisions I have to make these days are so tough!haha
Love this Galliano dress she wore to the Country Music Awards last night.

Let me know what you think...straight or curly hair...celebrity fragrances or not...

Hmmmmm.... I don't mind celebrity spokespeople, but I think celeb perfumes are a bit tacky!

Mmm yea, I dont like how everyone has their own...but I like when they use celebrities to endorse the product :)
I don't really wear perfume so I don't have a favorite. I would LOVE to own a chanel perfume though *sigh*

It does seem like every celeb has their own fragrance. I love all the ones that you named as your favorites. Not sure that I have one particular one that I love.

I follow :)

I think some celebrity scents are done well.. and others not.... Some are targetted to be timeless and some are targetted towards young fans. I'm a big fan of Givenchy scents for myself. And, oddly, for a day scent, I like The Fragrance by Victorias Secret. It is very crisp.
Her hair is always so pretty... but I hate her voice... Mute comes in quite handy in her case.

I think the celebrity fragrance craze has gotten way too out of hand. Soon, everything is just going to start smelling the same, if it hasn't already. I was reading a magazine the other day and all I could smell was a male fragrance that smelt EXACTLY like what my boyfriend wears. Turns out, it was one of those magazine sample inserts for an Ed Hardy fragrance. I know my boyfriend would never buy anything Ed Hardy (plus, I've seen the bottle of what he wears, although I've never actually paid any attention to it). Anyway, my point is, I don't quite understand how celebrities can come out with so many new, "original" scents on a regular basis.

Anyway, sorry for the saga. Coco Mademoiselle is one of my favorites, too. I've never cared much for Chanel No. 5, but Coco Mademoiselle is perfect.

Not a big fan of Taylor Swift, but I think I like her hair curly better. It looks nice straight, too, but she looks more generic and unoriginal that way.

Lisa Lisa Lisa: I totally see where you are coming from when it comes to mute and Taylor Swift. Sometimes her voice gets on my nerves too!

Ashley: You are so right, its like as if the scents are all morphing into just one. I loved reading your long comment.:)

Thanks for all comments.:)SD

The celebrity perfume pool is way to over-saturated. I'm over it.

Loving that Swift finally changed her hair - she looks gorg both ways!

Taylor Swift looks better with straight hair I think... but it depends on the mood, the ocasion and the whole look you are trying to pull of :)

I adore perfume...celebrity of not. I wouldn't buy a perfume just because I like the celebrity name behind it, but if it smells good (like SJP lines) I am all over it :)

My perfume of choice right now if Viva Juicy...a perfect, laid back scent for summer :)

Taylor Swift is so pretty she can look good with anything!!! And Fergie's perfume? hmm does it smell like her crotch when she peed on stage a while ago? HAHAHAHA I just had to say it! I do love Sexy Darling though smells wonderful!

so much to comment on:

-i love how you were so blingtastic! lol
-taylor: like the curls better, but don't really mind the straight hair--makes her look more adult. is she an adult yet? i don't even know.
-perfumes: i don't understand why everyone has to have their own perfume or clothing line (heard today that jwoww from the jersey shore has a clothing line). it's so silly. i have a burberry, but i do also have a perfume by l.a.m.b. but i'm sticking to actual perfume makers from now on--maybe the viktor & rolf...

Coco Mademoiselle is just a classic scent and doesn't make you a cliche at all! Coco and Mademoiselle are two of my all time faves. I want to like number 5 but there is something about it that just rubs me the wrong way.
After that I'm with you on the D&G Light Blue.
Jean Paul Gautier, Anna Sui Flights of Fancy and Ralph Lauren Romance.

I confess to buying Glow by JLo too. Too much hype for an average perfume. I am partial to DKNY and Calvin Klein perfumes.

I usually only get Chanel perfume for Christmas and I tend to spray liberally...so, it doesn't last that long. I must stop being so generous.haha.:)SD

I remember when Cher had a perfume called "Uninhibited" and Carol Burnett(?!) spoofed it as "Uninhabited." Truly I haven't worn fragrance in years, but used to like Chanel's Allure.

Flowerbomb is one of my favorite perfumes! Its smell is kind of different, no the usual too-sweet fragrance. Btw, I love T-Swift, and she looks fierce in straightened hair!

Awesome blog!
I'd be so grateful if you could take a look at mine as well!
