Anything, other than Black!

Blake Lively wore this outfit to Regis & Kelly, this morning. The item of clothing that I am most interested in, is her turquoise/ blue leather mini-skirt. It's very rare to see a leather skirt that is not black. It is a welcoming change. What do you think?

I then went surfing. The Internet, obviously! I have never been surfing in the sea before, something tells me, that would be a disaster! Personally, I wouldn't wear a leather mini-skirt in that turquoise/ blue colour, so I picked out a sweet Khaki faux leather number from River Island at £29.99. I also picked a grey leather skirt from Twenty8Twelve at €252. Sold on mywardobe.

So, will you be saying bye-bye to black leather skirt, anytime soon? Let me know!

Usually on Fridays, it is quite hard to find something interesting to blog about. However, NYFW started yesterday, there were Fashion Nights Out, boutiques were being reopened, plenty to blog about. There are almost too many things to blog about. I get muddled quite easily and this morning is no exception.

But when I saw the pictures of the re-opening of the Chanel Soho boutique, which took place last night, I found my post! Everywhere Karl Lagerfeld goes, he draws a crowd. He drew possibly the most stylish and fashionable crowd last night. The majority in Chanel, of course!

Just for you, I picked my two favourite looks from last night. Diane Kruger and Leigh Lezark. These are both very different looks. Diane Kruger is wearing a Chanel Fall 2010 ruffled dress. It is quite romantic, unique and the detailing is gorgeous. Diane, as always looks unflappable. Chanel is second nature to her, by this stage!

Leigh's Chanel Pre-Fall 2010 dress is more edgy, its more dramatic and daring. Perfect for Leigh with her dark hair and pale skin tone. She rocks it!

Blake Lively was also at this Chanel re-opening, wearing Chanel Haute Couture F/W 2011. Now, I don't know if you remember, but when I posted about the Chanel Haute Couture show in July, I made a sort of amateurish blogger comment. I stated, that perhaps Lagerfeld designed the Haute Couture collection with the Gossip Girls or the girls (out of character) in mind. Here is Blake Lively wearing a a dress from that Haute Couture show. Probably only a coincidence, perhaps? Like Two Peas in a pod.

Last night was Fashion's Big Night out in New York City. Anna Wintour organised it, amongst other stars, some of the Gossip Girls were guests. But it was Blake Lively in this Marchesa dress and Christian Louboutin heels that really caught my eye.

I have to say, I am overly excited about this dress. Two F's apply to this dress, flirty and fun! It is right up my street. The tribal inspired print is fun, the colours are fun, the full mini-skirt is to die for. Definitely one of my favourite dresses, I have seen in a long time. Of course, Blake Lively looks stunning.

Also, I feel I have been living under a rock not to have noticed a major Fashion Show Friendship before. Who am I talking about? Why Anna Wintour and Blake Lively! Blake obviously is doing something right, because she is Anna's left hand woman, at most shows now. How to get Anna Wintour smiling? Put her beside Blake Lively!
