The Long & Wide Of It All

Despite loving my skinny jeans, at this time of the year after the excess of Christmas, the word skinny scares me. My own skinny jeans barely fit me at the moment-(case in point) when I sit down, they dig into my stomach. I know you have to suffer for fashion, but really? That is just not appealing!

However, what is appealing, I ask myself? The Givenchy Pre-Fall collection, I tell myself. Now, that is certainly attractive! Mr. Tisci, please sir, can I have some more? Wide legged trousers, skirts of great lengths, comfortable materials, dark and romantic colours. My curves would favour that pair of wide legged trousers far more, than my Topshop skinnies.

Do you like these looks? And please tell me that I was not the only glutton over the Christmas period?

My Republic of Ireland....

As I was walking through John F. Kennedy Park today, I couldn't help wondering about a certain Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

I don't know about you, but I am a little bit obsessed with the Kennedy family. Who isn't though? A good looking, charismatic Political dynasty, marred by tragedies. But, always keeping a smile on her face was Jackie Kennedy. In my eyes, she was always stylish, chic, confident and poised within an inch of her life. She is definitely one of my fashion icons. Her look was all about big sunglasses, pearls, pill box hats, thick glossy hair and favouring designers such as Chanel, Givenchy, Christian Dior and so on. So beautiful!

Are you looking forward to seeing Katie Holmes as Jackie Kennedy Onassis in the mini-series of 'The Kennedy's?

Who is your fashion Icon?

I mentioned John F. Kennedy Park before and this is a park named after John F. Kennedy (obviously!), because the Kennedy's were originally from a small town called New Ross in Co. Wexford, which is located in the South-East of Ireland. New Ross is very proud that one of the greatest Political Dynasties is from their small town!

Its about 30 minutes from where I live and it is such a beautiful place to go and have a picnic or just wander around, looking at all the stunning trees. (Never thought I would call a tree stunning, must be my age catching up with me). When I was younger, my parents used to drag (literally drag!) my sisters, brother and I there, and I didn't really appreciate it...but now I do. Enough of the History lesson!

Thought I would make an appearance...excuse the hair...my overall appearance. The weather was fairly brutal and not in our favour at ALL!

Even though there is a very slight chance that you have but,... ever visited New Ross or JFK park? Its okay if you haven't though!haha
