Spring Clothes

I'm in the midst of a wardrobe Spring clean. It has become clear as a nice fresh day that I am a hoarder. I keep everything, including dust. Clothes are still accessorized with their tags. Like many people, I hoard old issues of magazines. That's not hoarding, though, it can be called archiving too. A lot of clothes are after getting the boot. No more shopping for me. Not for a long time.

Instead, I am concentrating on the items that I cherish. I will not be known as the old woman who lived in a shoe. I will be the old women wearing faux fur, accessorized with tulle, anklet bracelets, denim shirts, lace skirts, cowboy hats. All whilst reading old issues of Vogue and Elle. The old woman living in a lot of junk. Sounds about right to me.

P.S. Current obsession: denim+lace. What's yours?

If you hoard/archive magazines like me, where do you keep them? I am curious to know. Half my wardrobe space is dedicated to them!

I think those mags will be really cool to look at when you're an old lady! And your kids/grandkids will love to see how different the fashion was when mom was younger.

Also I am currently head over heels in love with lace and denim myself!!

I'm not much of a hoarder. But I think the best way to deal with it is do take some outfit shots and post them for us to see :)

I seriously need a place for my mags. I'd keep more, but they give my hubby serious heartburn. Yours look great stacked neatly like that.

I have an obsession with lace and denim too! Lace when I want to be lady like and denim when I want to feel comfortable. I also hoard magazines and what I do is cut out the pictures I want to keep and place in binders by catergories/seasonal looks. Helps to save a little space! - Jeannie.

My magazines have taken over my bookshelf. And I have piles of them extending up the walls in my bedroom. I bet Ikea has a solution for our storage problems!

Sue said...

I've got tons of magazines so I decided to make a kind of little table, putting all together on a pile, and then at the top I place my phone!

Looks like you have a lot of great stuff to wear

I hoard magazines, I have some in a box thing under my nightstand and then some in an antique magazine holder I spray painted, but I have so many that there are hugeeee plastic bins filled with them in my basement. I wish I had a better way to store them so I could refer back, but there just isn't room in my room.
