Plastic-Fantastic

Here are two trends which I find really interesting-plastic and latex. Julia Stegner for Vogue Germany, December 2010 carries these trends off with panache. I don't think I would ever be brave enough to wear those latex pull ups, but that cape is plastic-fantastic. In fact I love that whole outfit! I need a pair of those trousers in my life.

What about you....to plastic or not?

Wow, I'm all for the plastic cape but not for latex stay ups, and the gloves look like gloves for cleaning and washing :)

Great post sweetie, I love this one :)

Editorial, okay.
Real life, no.
I'm not fond of it,
It looks too cheap!

But I'm sure someone can pull it off ;)

mmmm if there's lots of rain i think the plastic cape is perfectly fine but if not it'll be kinda steamy in that cape :)

Plastic equals uncomfortable and works only on rainy days. Does pants though I could make a run for:)

Hmmm...not really a fan of wearing plastic. That may be due the fact I was completely wrapped in plastic for a t.v. show for over an hour (i played a bludgeoned corpse)and I sweat like a pig! Also, I couldn't move which made me a bit clastrophobic.

Haha I think I'd pass on this one, but it is amazing how well the models pull it off!

This reminds me of Aqua's Barbie Girl song... "life in plastic, it's fantastic!"

I like the idea of it but don't think I'll be queuing up to buy any.

Wow realy? Now that is for sure an interesting trend! lol I've actually seen some plastic heels/boots worn by models in the stockholm streetstyle website. They look great on them, but I'm not quite sure if it'll look great on just anybody. Maybe I'm just mistaken! But the plastic cape is awesome! It would go well on a rainy day I think. :)
