Burton.

'A Moment on the Lips. A Lifetime on the Hips.'

The Spring Summer 2011 collection of Alexander McQueen under designer Sarah Burton, hello! No doubt there were nerves, but fear not, this collection is nerve-breaking. Adventurous, daring, everything Lee McQueen was.

We usually try to avoid adding that extra extra to our hips, but Burton designed these dresses so beautifully, how could you refuse?

'I'm Mrs. Extra! Extra! this just in.' Look at that first dress, look at the butterfly detailing, look at the butterfly adorned shoes. Wow!

So a lifetime on the hips, what do you think? If you hadn't guessed already, I say yes!

Oh my gosh! Can't wait to see the whole collection! McQueen was one of my fave designers. I have great expectations!

I suspect we've been seeing Burton's influence on McQueen's collections the past few years to be honest, so I wasn't that worried. I guess I'll miss the showmanship of his shows more than anything. He was all about creating the complete experience. Debord would have been proud.

I think they definitely keep with McQueen's vision but I am not sure if I would want anything emphasizing my hips!

I must admit I'm not sure about those hips in real life... if I have those model's height and legs I think I could still carry those hips, otherwise I will defiantly look like a walking pear :)

i do love the focus on the hips - it makes for a refreshing silhouette :)

I'm not sure if adding an extra volume to the hips is such a good idea! But, somehow, I find the first dress cute.
