V is for Very, Very. V is also for Va-Va-Va-Volume!

Sometimes, you just need a bit of volume! Skinny jeans/ trousers don't do this, so.......

Elephant trousers, I used to call them many, many years ago! Now they are just wide legged trousers, extra, extra volumnised! Because I am tall, I find it hard to get a pair of voluminised wide legged trousers that fit me. I have searched & searched for a pair that sit on my feet, as opposed to my ankles. Is that too much to ask?

I get quite excited when I see wide legged trousers, but excitement turns to plain disappointment when I look at the length measurements. I know just by looking at them, that they won't fit! In an ideal World, I would have the trousers (and Chanel bag)shown in the Stockholm Street Style picture. But they look very luxurious, very, very pricey, not very unemployment friendly.

But because I tend to go off on fantasy tangents on this blog, I decided to pick a few pricey, pricey volumnised trousers. I don't know why I do it, because when the fantasy ends, I realise that the £695 Aquascutum High-Waisted leather trousers are not in my wardrobe, but alas, they are only in my fantasy filled head. Oh, well!

Are wide legged, volumnised trousers for you?

the stokholm street style pic is beautiful, very classy indeed. I think that is one of those look that you can pull off at its best when you are over thirties, so chic!

I love them, but I don't know if they would look good on me...I do have an old pair of really really big bell bottoms from middle school...I should feature them on the blog and see if people think they are okay to wear again XD ...they're green-ish colored though o.O

I also love wide leg pants trousers. They just look so cool and elegant when done right. Unfortunately, I am not blessed with the right lower half for wide legged pants, therefore when I wear elephant pants, I absolutely look like an elephant. I think I'll hold on tight to the skinny jean trend until it perishes completely.

Wide legs are not for me, as I have the opposite issue of being a shortie. I have one pair of wide-leg jeans that I do love, but only wear with some high heels.

I so wish I could pull something like this off. But, alas, being not even five feet tall does that. Skinny jeans for me!

I love the look of it, but it's not really my personal style.

I love love wide legs. I use to wear them all the time in my late teens and now it looks like they are coming back. So happy for this as they are so flattering on.

Yes! I found a pair like this at Urban Outfitters, but they were almost $200. I want them so much though.

Wide legged trousers look good, but they have to fit the person who´s wearing them. I don´t think the style would fit me....

I love how the pants look in mags but even though I'm tall they don't look the same on me. Plus, they are not conducive to running down stairs, rushing in and out of cars and trying not to trip over a cat!!

I would TOTALLY WEAR wide legged trousers buttry not to wear them on a rain day....or they would be VERY WET!!! hahaa

I've been thinking about pulling my flared jeans out again, but these elephant trousers are a completely different story. I don't think I could pull them off!

Love the white on white. Never imagined how great white trousers actually look. I'm dreaming of the day where I can finally pull a pair of these off!

The shitty thing is, most really nicely made expensive clothing has a longer inseam, and all the cheap stuff we can afford has a shorter inseam. Well...that works out just fine for me, but for a tall gal I bet it's frustrating!!

Jamie-Lee Burns said...

These don't really look good on me - they make my legs look massive! haha but, they do look good on certain bodyshapes :)

Not a huge fan of the wide leg trousers but I do like these ones. The mango and clhoe are my favs here. I think you need to be super tall and thin to wear them. Like yourself of course.

I like the trousers.
but the problem is that it may be hard to pair them with other clothing and needs a lot of work to make them look.
