The Marc Jacobs Spring/ Summer 2011 Collection was last night and I have to say, Wow! My favourite shows up to this morning were Jason Wu, Bensoni, Rebecca Taylor, Lela Rose and Derek Lam. However, when I saw the colour scheme that Marc Jacobs used.... new-favourite-show, for me!
When you think of Spring/ Summer colours, you think pastels, bright colours and white. Marc Jacobs steered clear of the minimalist and white/ pastel look, and instead he choose deep, rich colours and prints for this collection. Deep reds, burgundies, mustard yellows, dusky pinks, luxurious purples, jet blacks.....lets just call it the Marc Jacobs Rainbow Palette. Accessories were plentiful, with wide, brimmed floppy hats and with flowers in the Models hair and with beautiful, intricate belts. Even the models frizzy-esque hair can be seen as an accessory.
The pieces are flow-y and perfect for Spring/ Summer. I just love this collection.
