Mustard Mash

New: Mustard. Mustard pants? Don't mind if I do.
Old: Fringed sandals. It's the 1st of September tomorrow. And even though, technically, Autumn doesn't start until later this month, it is feeling very Autumnal out there. My fringed sandals will have to retire soon. Not a bad thing, since my toes are cold, so cold. The cold feeling is more due to bad circulation than to the weather, but.....
Always Present: Denim shirt. Hail, rain, snow or shine. It is a seasonal multi-tasker.

What's in and what's out for you, as we go into a new season?

Wanted

I must admit, I am fairly fed up of whimsical editorials. Ruffles galore and long bouncy hair. No, thanks. I want the opposite and Vogue Paris (April, 2011) has given this to me. Wanted is dark and edgy. Most of the photos are black & white. Isabeli Fontana stars. Fringing, feathers, distressed denim, stetsons, guns, metallic and chunky leather belts feature. That first picture of Isabeli reminds me of Pocahontas. Pocahontas gone Country & Western. Pocahontas gone bad.

I want to be a fashionable cow-girl. Grab that gun, and those leather chaps. Go for braids and pluck a feather. Giddy up.....
