Your Republic Of Denim

Fashion Fades, only denim remains the same. (Coco Chanel, adjusted by yours truly.)

I'm 23 years old now and I love denim. I'm sure that love will remain when I am 43, 63.... Hopefully, I will be a GID-granny in denim. A proud title, for sure.

Denim is an essential for both men & women. Be it jeans, dresses, skirts, shorts etc. A woman who doesn't wear denim has no future. Coco Chanel is turning in her grave, as I mess up her wonderfully worded inspirational quotes. But hey, it's worth it for denim, right?

Sweet Dreams

I have to admit, I was a bit of a socialite for most of this week (hence the lack of posts). In the space of four days: I was in the hairdressers twice, got dolled up twice, slept about four hours for each of those nights. So, in other words-lots of fun!

This week, hopefully, will be more mellow and relaxing. I got this Coco Chanel book from my sister and so far, so good. I love reading about the somewhat mysterious legend that is Chanel; her life, her apartment, her inspirations and so on. Socialising doesn't allow for much fashionable reading, but I will more than make up for it this week. A nice bed time story, yes?

Have you read or are you reading this book, also? What do you think?

It's just another Manic Monday.....hmmmm, perhaps not!

'The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud.'
'In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.'

This half outfit picture just screams out those two Coco Chanel quotes. It is the accessories and details which bring this outfit from normal to not-so-normal. Usually, I am not one for loads of accessories, but I was just drawn to this outfit & accessories, like a fly to the light. This is the sort of outfit, that I want to wear today and perhaps for the rest of the week, tattoo and all. It has attitude, but with femininity thrown in.

What do you think of it all?
