Hello Zac. Hello Glamour.

Feather me beautiful was one of the main themes at the Zac Posen Spring/ Summer 2011collection in Paris today. What about a feather tutu? Sure, why not! This collection was a delight to my eyes, especially after seeing the Balenciaga show, which I didn't like at all.

My only question now....where are my feathers? What do you think, is this ruffling your feathers or not? Let me know!

Fashionably Prepared.

 Dear Autumn/ Winter,

Hope this short post finds you well? Just to let you know that Sienna, Leona and myself, Kate are all ready for your chilly charms. We are well prepared for your cold behaviour. We have fur & big warm woolly coats to protect us. So, if you think you will trick us, well, you thought wrong! No doubt, thousands of people will be on the receiving end of your coldness, but not us. So, scratch us off your list.

That is all for now! Stay cool and chilly. Ta Ta, darling. Love you lots like our fabulous outerwear.

Sienna, Leona & Kate.

xxx

I just love these coats, like a lot! Makes me want Autumn/ Winter weather even more. What do you think?

Just want to thank you all for your comments regarding myself getting a job. A few wanted to know what the job is. Well...it's not fashion related (I should be so lucky!). The job is sales related for an electricity and gas company. I am just grateful to have a job, the Irish economy (like many other countries, at the moment) is just absolutely awful. So, onwards and upwards from here!

Love Ya Lots Like Jelly Tots!

I'm begging you for Mercy!

I posted the October cover of Vogue Paris with Lara Stone earlier this week and now, I am after seeing the editorial. Not only do you have Lara Stone, but you also have Mariacarla Boscono, Crystal Renn, Freja Beha Erichsen and Daphne Groeneveld in this editorial.

I love this because it is fierce, it is in black & white and this editorial shows no mercy, well for me, anyway!

I have mentioned before that I was looking for a job....well, hey presto, I got a job! I get nervous quite easily and with my first day this morning, it is fair to say- I am nervous. However, my nerves are after subsiding a little upon seeing this editorial. Why, I might hear you ask? Just look at Lara's pose. It is like she is saying 'Just get on with it. Think of the money!'. Don't be nervous, don't be nervous, don't be nervous, is what I am chanting at the moment.

Anyway, I am going to stop rambling, as I tend to do when I am nervous. If my posts are all akimbo this week, just blame the job. I'll get into the swing of things soon! Jobs, ehhhh. Who would have them?! In the meantime, look at the photos. What do you think?

Smile like you mean it!

The Moschino Spring/ Summer 2011 Collection genuinely made me smile, like a Cheshire Cat. How fun is it? Polka dots? Check. Stripes? Check? Big gold Jewellery? Check. Stetson hats? Check. Turban scarves? Check. Fun, fun, fun!

A bit over the top? Yes, perhaps! But hey, that's what fashion is all about. What do you think?

That is all for today. Have an amazing weekend!

Oh My God! What am I wearing?

One of my favourite pastimes that doesn't include any technology, is looking through old photos. I thank my mother for being so snap happy when we (by we, I mean my brother, sisters and I) were younger, because there are hundreds of photos. So, I was looking through a few yesterday evening and I came across myself wearing a few clothing items, which I would like to see back in my wardrobe.

Originally these photos were in colour (I'm not that old!), but the scanner was being stupid and scanned them in black and white. I actually like them this way. Sorry if they are a little fuzzy, no digital camera in my house back in 1989!

So, any of my toddler clothes catch your fancy? Oh, and do you have a favourite pastime that doesn't include technology?

P.S. I am around 2-4 years in these photos.

Reeling through the Gucci Years.

Are you a Gucci Girl/ Guy?

I always find that Italian designers tend to be glamourous and sexy with their designs. None more so than Gucci. We saw Gucci Spring/ Summer 2011 yesterday and Frida Giannini should be proud, because yet again, it was a fantastic collection. The models came out as shiny, glossy people, the clothes were typical Gucci. Sexy, but in a demure way. A bit of power to the clothes, but never intimidating. Chic, but with that extra edge. Did you like this collection?

I decided to do a little Spring/ Summer reeling through the years, just to show how consistent Gucci constantly is.

Lara is En Vogue.

'We couldn't do a lukewarm Issue.' Carine Roitfeld

Vogue Paris is 90 years old this month. How do they celebrate? By having a 624 page issue. By having the not so shy & retiring Lara Stone on the front cover. Vogue Paris might describe themselves as being daring. This cover is definitely daring, it is audacious, but it is also genius. I think this is the perfect cover to bring Vogue Paris into their 90th year.

Hell for Leather.

'I love ya
Especially today.'

Despite a few shoe issues and one fall, the Burberry Spring/ Summer 2011 collection went off without a hitch. Coats and jackets were my main love at this show. Leather jackets and coats, to be precise. One studded, one trench, more to the point.

The special thing with this collection is that you can buy it NOW. As in, now! Yes, go to the Burberry website and see for yourself. If you have a few thousand to spare, knock yourself out and buy something. If you are like me and have €0, just dream. 'Good things happen to those who wait.' Or so they say!

Trick 'r Treat.

I have naturally frizzy hair. When I put my frizzy hair into a french plait, the frizziness turns into curls. I like my hair like this, I do. Therefore, whenever I see a model with frizzy, curly, wild hair- I take notice. I take notice and think of my own mop and despite not being a big Simpson's fan, I think of the character Psycho Bob.

Big hair adds that extra something, something to a show or to an editorial, I feel.

My hair is definitely not as big as the models in the pictures and I don't think I would style it to be this voluminous for the day, but Halloween is coming up, people.... The last time I dressed up for Halloween, I was Pippi Long Stockings. So, this year, if I am going to dress up for Halloween, I might just go as ehhhhhh, the feminine version of Psycho Bob. Just call me Psycho Barbara. Fun times!

What do you think of this frizzy, curly haired look....  a daytime look? Or should it stay on the catwalk/ editorial? Will you be dressing up for Halloween?

Just a bit of fun on a Tuesday!

McQueen.

Sarah Jessica Parker cut a very stylish figure at Alexander McQueen's memorial service in London, this morning. Wearing pieces from the archives of Alexander McQueen, she did the late designer proud. Just look at those heels and that bag.

What do you think of her look?

Oscar de la Renta.

Whenever I think of Oscar de la Renta, I think of that pink dress Carrie received off her Russian boyfriend in Sex And The City. If you want to have a look, click HERE. I feel that dress epitomises what Oscar de la Renta is all about: true ladylike glamour.

And Ladylike Glamour was definitely not missing from his Spring/ Summer collection last night. Neither was Carrie Bradshaw (Carrie from the SATC series, not the films) in Sarah Jessica Parker's spirit, who was taking in all the glam-action. So, if you feel like looking at some ladylike pieces, go ahead. Here are my favourite three looks from the show.

Inspiration in W Magazine.

I have not been inspired by an editorial in a long time. However, when I set my eyes on this stunning W Magazine (October) editorial, that all changed. How can this not be inspiring? Karlie Kloss as the model, Tim Walker as the photographer, Haute Couture gowns..... This editorial is a Fairytale & Day-Dream Fantasy. I just love every single picture, every single Haute Couture gown & dress, the make-up, the hair, the location, the photo effects. One word- Inspirational.

Do you agree with me?
