Don't leave me out!

This Season, the Swallow is the bird of the moment, Miu Miu ensured their fame. But, I was watching a programme last night, and I saw the most amazing Peacock necklace. This made me think how much I love Peacock's. Whats more, I love Peacock accessories. Who needs Swallows, when you have beautiful, elegant Peacock's?

I love superstitions, whenever I see one Magpie...I panic, but I look at it twice. One Magpie for bad luck, two for good! Its a pity that they all congregate around my house, because I am constantly turning my head, its like as if I have a nervous twitch, but no I am just looking at the magpie twice, to ensure my good luck. This Superstition of mine wrecks my head when I have to study for something, because they can sense something important is happening and one always crowds around my window. 'YOU squawk WILL squawk FAIL squawk'.

Anyways, there is a valid point in all of this mumbo jumbo, apparently in some Countries the Peacock is a symbol of bad luck...disaster! But, in other Countries they are a symbol of good luck and they ward off evil spirits.

Whether you believe in all this is up to you!

Its a great excuse though if you don't actually want to wear something...
Me as a ten year old...
'Sarah put on your coat'.
'No, coats are bad luck in this Country Mam...you don't want anything horrible to happen to me-do you?'

Are you Superstitious? And are Peacock Accessories for you?

Question: Tell me what you think about me...

Anja Rubik with my girl, Magdalena...Mariacarla B. and Lanvin Autumn-Winter 2010/2011 Ad Campaign, Come on................

Lanvin's Autum-Winter 2010/2011 Ad Campaign might as well just sing: 'I buy my own diamonds and I buy my own rings. All the women who are independent, throw your hands up at me. I worked hard and sacrificed to get what I get-ladies, it ain't easy bein' independent'.

It is fierce, so come on 'All the Single ladies, now put your hands up'.

What do you think of it? I like it!

No muss, No fuss!

Once upon a time, when I was 17 years old, I went to a music festival. As I set off with my humongous bag on my back, I was excited. However, the excitement soon ended when my friends and I could not put up the tent. Frustrated, someone helped us in the end. My excitement ended when it was time for food. Being a naive 17 year old, I brought cans of baked beans, little boxes of cereal...please don't snigger!

Excitement ended when my friends thought it would be 'fun' to lock me in the tent, for three hours. Excitement ended when I realised my Cowboy boots just looked plain silly. Again, please don't snigger! My excitement ended when I smelled the toilets after three hours of continuous use by complete randomers. Yes, I am a wimp-a massive one!

I don't think I was ever so excited to leave the place. However, my excitement ended there also when we had to walk for 2 and a half hours in the sweltering heat, with this massive bag, just to get the bus.

As you can figure out, I am NOT really a festival girl. I'd be more in favour of festivals if there was a hotel on-site. But there never is, is there? I looked like I was dragged through a bush for the duration of the festival. Yet, when I see all these celebrities looking AMAZING in their designer gear at festivals, my heart drops. How do they do it?

One such celebrity who was AMAZING before (at the airport) and during the Glastonbury festival was Alexa Chung. There are no surprises there really though! She epitomises the way I want to dress. However, I neither have the figure nor the wallet to pull off her festival looks. But, hey a girl can dream right?!

What do you think of Alexa's style in the airport and at Glastonbury? My favourite is definitely where she is wearing just the shorts, casual shirt and those amazing Chloé flats. Casual, but perfect!

I don't dress like this everyday you know!

I'm sorry if you are a little sick of my poems,
Its because I'm stuck all day long at home.
My mind is constantly thinking of rhymes,
for I like things that chime.

Whenever I see a celebrity, I get envious,
all those parties, all those premieres,
all those shopping trips.
Why! Oh why, sometimes life isn't fair.

But, fear not! We can live their lives through
our daydreams and through pictures that we see.
Who really wants to be hounded by the p'razzi?
Certainly not me. Grazie.

From Lanvin to Christian Dior and
Marchesa to Viktor & Rolf.
Thursday, unlike some other days was a fashion feast.
Here are a few of my favourites.

Your favourite? Let me know!

I wish you all a good weekend!
Please don't judge me for this lame poem.
My excuse? Its a Friday.
Peace out!

Which look do you prefer?

Hey you! What you looking at?

As you all probably know Menswear Collection's for Spring 2011 are currently showing. I have to admit when it comes to Menswear, I tend to turn a blind eye to some of the Collections. So, I made it my business to sit down today and really look at the shows.

I thought it would be fun to pick out some trends that I like and I have categorized them, in my amateurish blogger way of course! All those clothes.....but which ones do I prefer?!

I would have no problem wearing that DSQUARED2 outfit.

Which one do you prefer?
1. Shimmer down the Catwalk.
2. Colour me beautiful!
3. Cut Offs...
4. All White on the Knight!

Let me know!

A-B-C-D-E.....just cut to the P!

Today I had to wear a coat, because of the unpredictable-ness of the Irish weather. It was not just any ordinary coat though. Oh, no! I wore one of my favourite coats...the Parka.

Besides the word Please, Parka is my favourite P word. 'Put my Parka down please. I know you are jealous of it, but there is no need to steal it'. Like two P's in a pod!

I love my P-p-p-p-p-parka because, I can use it to hide my scruffy jeans, I can use the hood (with fur) to hide my face, when I feel unsociable. Parka keeps me warm in all weathers. When I put my Parka on, I feel like a major lazy-bum...but that's okay. The bigger the Parka is, the better.
Someone: Eh, you do know that your Parka is too big for you?!
Me: Ya! That's how I like it.

I wear and re-wear my Parka. Definitely my favourite coat out of my wardrobe.

Parka's made a very visible appearance on the Autumn-Winter 2010 catwalk. But, if they fall out of favour, I don't really care. I love my Parka enough to wear it in the midst of post Parka trend. They will never go out of fashion though. I need not worry myself!

I cheated on my Parka by having a sneaky-peak at other lust worthy ones. 'Please Sir, can I have some more?'

Are you with me on Parka's or do you prefer some other style?

Currently multi-tasking between writing this post and watching tennis. Not the easiest thing to do. Parka's ar.....Roddick, just win the game already! Hope ye are having a great Wednesday!

Eenie Meenie Miney Moe...

Bright, vibrant colours...I like.
These three ladies certainly fit the criteria,
with their dresses.

Salma Hayek wowed whilst on the David Letterman show,
Estelle singing at Malibu Rum's First Day of Summer and
Cheryl Cole standing out from the crowd in her beautiful red dress.

Who wears bright the best?
Answers on a postcard...
well, the comment section will do just fine!

My favourite? A mix between Salma and Cheryl. Love Salma's Alexander McQueen dress and Cheryl's Versus Georgette dress equally.

Let me know your favourite!

Mam, will you tell them to stop copying me?

I don't know about you, but when I was younger if my sisters copied me in any sort of way, I would go crazy. To elaborate...if they dressed like me, or had clothes similar to mine, or if they started mimicking my voice....genuinely, I used to get so mad. Were you like that?

I think I am sort of over it (but, not really!). Anyways enough of my random-ness.

When I looked through the Preen Resort 2011 collection the other day, I didn't think anything of it, other than it is a minimal and well structured collection. However, browsing through the ASOS website this morning, I noticed something. Because the Preen collection is fairly minimal (actually very), there are bound to be some decent copies. I found...well I think I found (I'll let you be the judge of that) some pieces which match the Preen collection in some way.

So, Preen on a budget?! Sure, why not! (Well in my current non-working position, some of the ASOS stuff is looking pricey!).

Preen vs French Connection sold on ASOS.com at £75.

Preen vs ASOS at £55.

Preen vs Reiss shorts sold on ASOS.com at £89.

Preen vs Firetrap sold by ASOS.com at £75.

Preen vs Selected Femme Trousers at £135. Sold on ASOS.com

Preen vs Selected Femme lace cami at £80. Sold on ASOS.com

Now, I'm not saying they are carbon copies, but they are similar. What do you think?

Oh ya, just want to say I have been blogging for around a month now, and I want to thank everyone for all their comments and for following. I really, really appreciate it! Okay, enough of the cheese factor.

Stop making a Racket!

Tennis has been around for years and years,
tennis is glamourous, fast-paced and now,
its about fashion and playing the game, of course!
I won't bore you with anymore details.
Who wears what?!
Thats the main aim of my game!

From long dresses, to beautiful hair. The court has always seen beautiful fashion.

Edginess has entered the game.

Tennis Chic was seen on the Hermés Spring-Summer 2010 catwalk. Jean Paul Gaultier certainly likes tennis!

Tennis fashion has done a full circle by this stage.

Enter the powerhouses,
'You'll see Venus and Serena in the Wimbledon Arena',
Maria Sharapova trying her best to out-do the rest,
Federer hardly ever the loser,
Nadal, Roddick and Djokovic trying to overcome the 'King'.

Fashion holds just as much importance as playing tennis for these players.

But, I just have one question to ask....is this what all the tennis pro's will be wearing in five years time?

As you can see, I am a bit crazy about tennis, especially the Wimbledon event (which starts Monday). I certainly cannot play tennis, but I love watching it and the players parading around in all their fashion glory.

Is Tennis for you?

Hope ye are all having a great weekend!
